On April 25, SteelOrbis reported import prices on flats in Chile at $455-470/mt CFR for HRC, $510-525/mt CFR for CRC, and $575-590/mt CFR for HDG.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that import offers on flat products to Chile declined further over the week as Chinese traders sought deals at month’s end. HRC import offers declined to $450-460/mt CFR, CRC import offers declined to $500-505/mt CFR, and HDG import offers declined to $575-585/mt CFR.

These prices reflect a downward movement of $5/mt from the bottom of the HRC range and $10/mt from the top of the HRC range. CRC decreased $10/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $20/mt from the top of the previous range. HDG flat offers declined the least with only a $5/mt price erosion from the top of the range. A source noted that within the week, import offers on CRC were intermittently found at $495/mt CFR but slightly rebounded to $500/mt CFR by April 28.
