On January 15, SteelOrbis reported ex-China flat steel offers to Chile for CRC at $655/mt CFR. In the same period offers to Brazil were reportedly at $665-670/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that recent trades on 1.0mm CRC (SPCC) from China have been concluded at $611-615/mt FOB or approximately $636-645/mt CFR to destinations on the South Pacific Ocean side including Chile. The quantities in the transactions were reportedly around 2,000-3,000 mt. Generally, the region is reportedly displaying cautious planning by buyers given the present market uncertainty that increasingly points to the possibility of further price erosion.
