Ex-Brazil slab offers to US increase

On August 25, SteelOrbis reported Brazilian slab export reference prices for the basic commercial grades at $460/mt FOB Brazilian port. According to sources, the export slab price has encountered an uptick and the range of offer prices to the US has widened $10/mt on the top of the range and are presently at $460-470/mt FOB. The offer prices increased on new deals and higher global raw material costs.
