In the past week, demand has remained strong in the European flat steel market, with prices remaining stable. Market sources indicate that demand is likely to soften slightly in the coming weeks due to the approaching Easter holiday: however, after the holiday, demand is expected to remain strong, with prices moving upward.

In the local European flat steel market, hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot dip galvanized product offers have remained stable at €540-590/mt ($578-631/mt), €640-700/mt ($685-749/mt) and €640-700/mt ($685-749/mt), respectively, all ex-works and week on week. HRC offers given to the EU from India and Turkey still stand at $510-520/mt FOB and $525-530/mt FOB, respectively.
