Downtrend continues in Spanish flat steel prices

Demand in the Spanish flat steel market has recorded a slight recovery over the past month and is now at medium levels. Hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in the local Spanish market have decreased by €40/mt ($45/mt) over the past month to €320-330/mt ($358-370/mt) ex-warehouse, excluding 21 percent VAT, and for October deliveries. In addition, import HRC offers to Spain have over the past month decreased by €35/mt ($39/mt) on the lower end and declined by €40/mt ($45/mt) on the upper end to €305-310/mt ($342-347/mt) CIF, for October shipments.
