Slab offers in the Brazilian domestic market are currently negotiated around $425/mt FOB, against $405/mt FOB one month ago, referring to the base commercial grades.

The domestic slab market in Brazil is currently estimated around 60,000 mt per month, against 40,000 mt per month one month ago, reversing previous expectations of a reduction of the volume traded domestically, with CSN and Usiminas on the buying side, Ternium and Pecem in the supply side.

No imports of slab reached Brazilian ports in December, for the fourth consecutive month.
