Domestic HRC price increases in Brazil

Steel distributors in Sao Paulo are negotiating HRC for the domestic market at BRL 3,825/mt ($1,075/mt), against BRL 3,750/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, having the 1008/1012 grades, 4.75mm thickness product as reference.

In March, Brazil imported from South Korea 10,600 mt of HRC at $630/mt, from Taiwan 9,800 mt at $630/mt, from Ukraine 4,900 mt at $568/mt, and from India 3,200 mt at $626/mt, all FOB conditions.

The last offer of HRC received by Brazilian importers from China was priced at $620/mt, CFR conditions, having the A36/Q235 grade product as reference.
