Over the past week, demand for import flat steel in Turkey has remained slack, while Turkish buyers have continued to postpone their bookings due to the negative economic situation in the country. Although raw material prices are strong, Turkish buyers have continued to exert pressure on prices, though no discounts have been observed. In addition, due to the approach of the year-end, market players think that demand for import steel in Turkey is unlikely to recover in the short term.

Ex-CIS HRC offers to Turkey are still at $500-530/mt CFR, while ex-CIS cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey have also remained unchanged at $610-630/mt CFR.
