CRC imports in Brazil are negotiated today at $1,200/mt, CFR conditions, stable from two weeks ago, a trader in the Northeastern region of Brazil told SteelOrbis.

In August, Brazil exported 1,900 mt of CRC, in average at $974/mt, while importing 45,400 mt of the product, in average at $774/mt, both FOB conditions.

Preliminary numbers from customs are pointing to a similar volume of CRC imports in September.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 7,400/mt ($1,363/mt), against BRL 7,571/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
