Stronger scrap, higher hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices have once again become the reason for another price increase in downstream flats segment in Turkey. Local re-rollers have significantly raised their domestic offers over the week, being also supported by the still limited allocation and decent demand.

By the end of the week the local cold-rolled coil (CRC) prices have increased by another $20-30/mt and are available at $980-1,000/mt ex-works base, SteelOrbis has learned. Official offers are being voiced at the higher end of the range, while the lower one is referred to as a sales price.

In the HDG segment the local offer prices are currently ranging in a rather wide range, having increased by around $40/mt over the week to $1,040-1,100/mt ex-works base. Mills are placing offers depending on their product portfolio. Some sources say that the level of $1,020/mt ex-works is still available under negotiation.
