Following the most recent feedstock bookings at higher prices, Pakistani producers of cold rolled (CR) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) coils issued a new round of price increases.
Accordingly, on April 19 local prices of CR and HDG coils have increased by PKR 5,000/mt ($33/mt) compared to the previous offers on April 13. The dollar-based quotations have risen by $28-29/mt due to the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee.
On balance, the increase in CRC and HDG prices in Pakistan has complied with increase in HRC deal prices, reaching $70/mt within the past month.
