During the week ending June 21, the Chinese domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market has indicated an upward trend, while transaction activity in the overall market has been at medium levels. Average cold rolled product prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, the increases in ferrous metal futures prices in China have exerted a positive impact on domestic prices of finished steel, including CRC. In addition, the relatively low inventories of CRC held by traders have also provided some support for CRC prices. As for the coming week, it is thought that CRC prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move sideways.
