Over the past week, buyers in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market have continued to postpone their purchases as demand has remained slack. Market sources state that domestic PPGI demand in the Turkish market is not expected to recover due to the upcoming Feast of Sacrifice holiday and also due to the summer season. Turkish PPGI producers’ domestic prices have remained stable during the past week.

Turkish producers' domestic PPGI prices are now at $1,000-1,030/mt for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI, at $840-860/mt for RAL 9002 0.5 mm PPGI and at $730-770/mt for RAL 9002 1 mm PPGI. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

During the past week, Turkish PPGI offers to the export markets have also remained unchanged and are still in the range of $840-850/mt FOB.
