Cold rolled coil (CRC) buyers in Turkey have shown some interest in domestic purchases, partly as the pricing for flats looks rather solid and there have been some restocking requirements. However, the demand from industrial sectors still remains insufficient as consumption is slow.

Most offers in the market are at $570-590/mt ex-works, down $10/mt over the past week. Deals for small lots have been closed at $570-580/mt ex-works, re-rollers report. “The prices worked in the market, but volumes are low. This is the month that we took the lowest amount of orders except for March and April,” a producer told SteelOrbis.

Export offers are at around $570-580/mt FOB for October production. Sales are slow and some re-rollers expect the European market to revive over the coming two weeks. Import offers have been scarce. South Korean price indications were at $620/mt CFR last week, while for now the sellers have decided to take a step back.
