Brazilian producers are negotiating slab exports in a range of $420/mt to $430/mt, FOB conditions for the base commercial grades, the same as last week, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

With negotiations with US customers expected for September, under quotas of the Section 232 regulations, Brazilian producers remain focused on deals with clients in the EU, Latin America and Asia.

Preliminary indications from local customs authorities point to a stable volume of slab being exported in July, when compared with the 430,300 mt exported in June.
