According to sources, the negotiations for Brazilian slab exports, for shipments in January, remain framed by a FOB range of $530/mt to $550/mt this week.
In November, Brazil exported 463,700 mt and imported 44,800 mt of slab, against respectively 600,300 mt and no imports in October.
In November, Ternium exported 199,400 mt of slab at $726/mt to the US, ArcelorMittal exported 83,100 mt at $599/mt to Belgium, 38,100 mt at $647/mt to the US, and 33,900 mt at $622/mt to Canada, while Pecem exported 68,200 mt at $631/mt to Mexico, 20,700 mt at $658/mt to Denmark and 20,300 mt at $647/mt to Italy, all FOB conditions.
The 44,800 mt of slab imported in November were by Usiminas, from Vietnam, at $574/mt, also FOB conditions.
