Brazilian producers exported 132,700 mt of HRC in June, 7.2 percent more than in May, at an average FOB price reduced by 4.2 percent to $499/mt.
Variations in both volume and price reflect chiefly an export of 23,900 mt by CSN to the US at $382/mt, against no exports to the US in May.
Total shipments by CSN reached 68,000 mt at $475/mt, while ArcelorMittal exported 57,300 mt at $484/mt and Usiminas 7,400 mt at $836/mt, all FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in April.
Destinations other than the US were the EU (44,300 mt), Latin America (43,600 mt) and Turkey (21,000 mt).
According to a local exporter, the most recent HRC export deals remain traded in a range of $465/mt to $475/mt, FOB conditions, with reference to the basic commercial grades.
