Brazilian HRC exports decline in April

Brazil exported 86,200 mt of HRC in April, against 120,000 mt in March, at an average FOB price reduced by 6.6 percent to $486/mt, said the local ministry of industry, foreign trade and services, MDIC.
 
ArcelorMittal exported 83,500 mt at $487/mt FOB and Gerdau Acominas exported 2,500 mt at $423/mt FOB, while a small volume was exported by Usiminas.
 
The main destinations were Asia (39,000 mt at $461/mt), Latin America (26,200 mt at $518/mt) and Turkey (21,000 mt at $491/mt), all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in February.
 
According to a local exporter, the most recent HRC export deals are being closed at $500/mt FOB as reference price for the product of the basic commercial grades.
