Brazilian HRC exporters maintain focus on South America

Brazilian producers remain negotiating exports of HRC to South American countries at $540/mt, CFR conditions for the basic commercial grades, stable from one week ago.

In October, Brazil exported 131,000 mt of HRC, against 174,900 mt in September. Preliminary indications point to another decline in November.

In October, ArcelorMittal exported 130,300 mt of HRC at $436/mt, while Gerdau exported 700 mt at $852/mt, both FOB conditions, with different quality grades and price deals probably closed in August.
