Brazilian producers remain negotiating hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) for export at $810/mt, FOB conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75mm thickness product as reference, two different sources from local exporters told SteelOrbis.

The reference price is stable since the first half of February, but very few export deals were recently closed, as a new round of negotiations is set to start in May.

In February, CSN exported its HDG at $835/mt, ArcelorMittal at $978/mt and Usiminas at $844/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in December 2017.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is sold today by distributors, in small volumes, at BRL 4,880/mt ($1,434/mt), ex-works, full taxes except IPI, having the Z-100, 1.11mm thickness product as reference. Larger volumes are usually entitled to discounts.
