AK Steel announces price increase for flat rolled steel products

AK Steel has announced they will be raising spot market prices for all carbon flat-rolled steel products by a minimum of $1.50 cwt. ($33/mt or $30/nt).

AK Steel did not announce new, minimum base-pricing for hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil or galvanized sheets and strip. 

Prior to the price increase announcement, ex-mill flats pricing was as follows:

HRC:
$31.00-$32.50 cwt. ($683-$717/mt or $620-$650/nt)

CRC: $41.00-$42.50 cwt. ($904-$937/mt or $820-$850/nt)

base-price HDG:
$40.50-$42.50 cwt. ($893-$937/mt or $810-$850/nt)
