AK Steel announces flat rolled price increase

US-based flat rolled steelmaker AK Steel has joined other US flats mills in announcing they will be raising current spot market prices for all carbon flat-rolled steel products by a minimum of $1.50 cwt. ($33/mt or $30/nt), ex-mill.

Current flat rolled steel pricing is as follows:

US HRC $30-$32 cwt. ($662-$705/mt or $600-$640/nt)
US CRC $39.50-$40.50 cwt. ($871-$893/mt or $790-$810/nt)
US HDG (base) $38-$40 cwt. ($838-$882/mt or $760-$800/nt)
