Notable wire rod, rebar and slab shipments into the US, May 1-8

Wire Rod:

  • Three shipments totaling 8,282 metric tons of wire rod arrived into the Port of Charleston, South Carolina on May 5 from Chinese ports.
Rebar:
  • Three shipments totaling 8,077 metric tons of rebar arrived into the Port of New London, Connecticut on May 6 from Mediterranean region ports, Turkey.
  • 1,509 metric tons of rebar arrived into the Port of Houston, Texas on May 7 from Mediterranean region ports, Turkey.

Slab:

  • Six shipments totaling 30,124 mt of steel slab arrived into the Port of Houston, Texas on May 8 from the Port of St. Petersburg, Russia.
