In 2010, Zlatoust Metallurgical Works (ZMZ), a subsidiary of the Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding, increased its steel product shipments by 2.66 times compared to 2009 to 388,700 mt, of which 40,000 mt were delivered in December 2010 - up 74 percent year on year. Accordingly, the increase was due to increased shipments of quality and special rolled steel products to such Russian automakers as AvtoVAZ, GAZ and UAZ, to machine building company Uralvagonzavod, as well as due to the development of cooperation with Mechel's Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant.

In 2011, ZMZ plans to increase its steel product shipments by 28.6 percent year on year to 500,000 mt.
