ZMZ doubles rolled steel product output in Jan-Oct

In the first 10 months of this year, Zlatoust Metallurgical Works (ZMZ), a subsidiary of the Russian steel producer ESTAR Holding, has doubled its commercial grade rolled steel product output to 325,580 mt and increased its steel smelting by 40 percent to 146,720 mt, both compared to the same period last year. The plant's steel products shipments during the period in question increased by 3.1 times year on year to 310,600 mt.

In October, ZMZ smelted 8,140 mt of steel and produced 39,000 mt of commercial grade rolled steel products. ZMZ's October shipments of steel products amounted to 39,000 mt - up 75 percent year on year, including 677 mt of calibrated steel and 1,780 mt of steel products with special surface finish.

In November this year, ZMZ plans to increase its steel products shipments by about 18 percent compared to October, to 46,000 mt.
