Zhengzhou imposes level I emergency air pollution measures

The municipal government of Zhengzhou in China’s Henan Province has announced that, due to anticipated continuous heavy air pollution in the period of December 21 to December 24, it has decided to implement level I emergency response measures effective from 22:00 on December 20.

In particular, all construction sites need to be closed except for emergency work approved by the municipal government. Industrial enterprises will implement production halt for level I emergency response measures. Meanwhile, unless they are not approved by the government, transportation by diesel trucks will also be halted for steel industry, coking industry, chemical industry and miners.
