Zaporizhstal’s crude steel production rises by 18 percent in January-May

In the January-May period of the current year, the crude steel production of Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal increased by 18 percent year on year, reaching 1.597 million mt.


In the given period, Zaporizhstal saw an eight percent increase in its pig iron production to 1.226 million mt and a 17 percent increase in its finished steel production to 1.317 million mt. In January-May, Zaporizhstal produced 2.222 million mt of agglomerate, up 12 percent year on year.
