Zaporizhstal’s crude steel output up 3.78 percent in Q1

In March this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 6.2 percent year on year to 281,900 mt, its pig iron production moved up by 2.1 percent to 268,500 mt, while its crude steel production decreased by 0.23 percent year on year to 297,600 mt, according to the company's preliminary results.

In the first quarter of the year, Zaporizhstal saw a 4.6 percent year-on-year increase in its finished steel product output to 862,700 mt, while its crude steel production rose by 3.78 percent year on year to 974,100 mt.
