Zaporizhstal's crude steel output up 11.3 percent in January

In January this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 11.7 percent year on year to 301,900 mt, its pig iron production moved up by 37 percent to 394,100 mt, while its crude steel production rose by 11.3 percent year on year to 363,000 mt, according to the company's results.

According to Zaporizhstal, year-on-year production growth in January this year is due to the commissioning of blast furnace No. 3 after a large-scale ecological reconstruction which cost an investment of UAH 1.9 billion.
