Zaporizhstal's crude steel output down 2.57 percent in October

In October this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output decreased by four percent year on year to 285,200 mt, its crude steel production decreased by 2.57 percent year on year to 333,400 mt, while its pig iron production moved down by 12.2 percent to 317,400 mt, according to the company's results. The company recorded reduced production figures in October this year due to the planned repairs of its blast furnace No. 2. 
 
In the January-October period, Zaporizhstal saw a 2.5 percent year-on-year decrease in its pig iron output to 3.06 million mt, its crude steel production declined by 1.4 percent year on year to 3.27 million mt, while its finished steel product output fell slightly by 0.4 percent to 2.83 million mt year on year.
