Yingkou Medium Plate commissions new converter

The new 120 mt converter of Liaoning-based Chinese steelmaker Yingkou Medium Plate, which was built by Tianjin-based state-owned MCC Tiangong Group Corp, commenced production operations on January 15, as announced by MCC on January 20.

The converter was built within the scope of a project by Yingkou Medium Plate Co., a subsidiary of China Minmetals Corporation, which also includes a 120 mt ladle furnace and a continuous casting machine for billets.
