Xining Special Steel starts upgrade of steel bar production line

On February 20, Qinghai Province-based Chinese steelmaker Xining Special Steel Co. started the technology upgrade project at its small steel bar production line, as announced by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC).
 
MMC subsidiary China First Metallurgical Group will carry out the work on the project, which will include upgrading of equipment of the production line to ensure increased energy savings and greater environmental protection.
 
The steel bar production line in question mainly produces carbon structural steel, carbon tool steel, spring steel, alloy structural steel, bearing steel and stainless steel. It has an annual production capacity of 450,000 mt of round bar.
