Sichuan Province-based Xichang Steel & Vanadium Co., a subsidiary of Sichuan-based Chinese steel producer Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group (Pangang Group), has started construction of pickling units within the scope of the first phase of its cold rolling project, as announced by Pangang Group.
Japanese companies Mistsubishi Heavy Industry Co. (MHI) and Hitachi Electric Co. will provide technical support during the construction process.
The pickling units will commence operations in late March 2014.
