Wuhu Xinxing Pipes to build new blast furnace to replace old one

Anhui Province-based Chinese steel pipe producer Wuhu Xinxing Pipes Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chinese pipe maker Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co., has announced that it is to build a new 1,270 cubic meter blast furnace to replace its old 1,280 cubic meter blast furnace.

Accordingly, the new furnace will have an annual steelmaking capacity of 1.17 million mt, with construction starting in December this year and due to be completed in December 2019, replacing its old blast furnace which had an annual steelmaking capacity of 1.18 million mt.
