WISCO’s net profit more than doubles in 2013

Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. Ltd (WISCO) has issued its financial report for 2013, announcing an operating revenue of RMB 89.581 billion ($14.6 billion) for the given year, down 2.18 percent, while it recorded a net profit of RMB 427 million ($69.66 million), up 103.44 percent, both year on year.

At the same time, WISCO has also issued its financial results for the first quarter of the current year, stating that it achieved an operating revenue of RMB 19.854 billion ($3.24 billion), down 15.11 percent, and a net profit of RMB 187 million ($30.5 million), down 21.54 percent, both year on year.
