WISCO obtains Bekaert certificate for wire rod

As published on the website of Wuhan Iron and Steel Corporation (WISCO), the Chinese steel producer has obtained the Bekaert Group's V00D070 quality certificate for its WLX72A wire rod for steel cord, meaning that this product as produced by WISCO is in accord with the quality standards and manufacturing conditions of Bekaert Group. WISCO is the first mill in China to receive this certificate. In 2002 WISCO commenced its collaboration with Bekaert Group, which is the largest producer in the world of steel cord, steel wire, and other similar products. In early 2003, after continuous improvement of its product quality and production process, WISCO received the Bekaert G09D070 certificate and began to supply to Bekaert regularly. WISCO is now the largest steel cord manufacturing base in China.
