On September 24, Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) successfully completed trial production of over 2,000 mt of #36 channel steel. With this new product, WISCO has laid a foundation for its further development of large size channel steel and for its expansion in the merchant bar market.
#36 channel steel is used in both the construction and machinery sectors, being widely applied in vehicle manufacture, large size bridge building, machinery manufacture and industrial workshop construction.
