Vyksa Steel Works posts increased outputs for Jan-Feb

Russian steel pipe and railway wheel producer Vyksa Steel Works, a part of Russia-based OMK Group, has announced its production results for February and the first two months of the current year.
 
Accordingly, in the January-February period Vyksa Steel Works' output of steel pipes amounted to 234,000 mt, up 3.7 percent year on year, including 121,000 mt of large diameter pipes, up 20.5 percent year on year. In February alone, Vyksa Steel Works produced 107,600 mt of steel pipes, down 6.6 percent, including 57,300 mt of large diameter pipes, up 12 percent, both year on year.
 
In the first two months of the current year, Vyksa Steel Works’ output of railway wheels increased by 2.7 percent year on year to 140,700 wheels. In February this year, Vyksa Steel Works produced 66,800 railway wheels, up 2.5 percent compared to February 2012.
