Vyksa Steel Works issues reduced steel pipe output for 2012

Vyksa Steel Works, a part of Russia-based OMK Group, has announced its production results for December and the whole 2012 year.
 
Accordingly, in 2012 Vyksa Steel Works' output of steel pipes amounted to 1.4 million mt, down 19 percent compared to 2011, including 656,000 mt of large diameter pipes, down 36 percent year on year. In December alone, Vyksa Steel Works produced 139,000 mt of steel pipes, up 46 percent, including 66,000 mt of large diameter pipes, up 84 percent, both year on year.
 
In 2012, Vyksa Steel Works increased its output of railway wheels by 14 percent year on year to 850,000 wheels. In December last year, Vyksa Steel Works produced 75,000 railway wheels, up 10 percent compared to December 2011.
