Voestalpine starts operating a new HDG line

Under the scope of “Linz 2010” investment program, Voestalpine Stahl GmbH has put a new hot dipped galvanizing (HDG) line into operation, which will serve for automotive industry. The new line is the third HDG line of the mill, however it is the first project that is completed under “Linz 2010” investment program. The construction of the line cost €127 million. With the new line which will have a capacity of 340'000 tons of galvanized steel, the total annual capacity of the three lines will amount to 1.1 million tons. Moreover, the new line will provide job opportunity in Linz region.
