Vietnam sees increase in export turnover

Vietnam's General Statistics Department disclosed that the country's export turnover is expected to total $2.6 billion in March 2005, up $600 million from February 2005. Total export turnover rose 16.2% year on year to $6.7 billion in the first quarter of 2005. Coal saw the highest growth (76.2%) among exported items, followed by plastic (63%), cashew nuts (53.2%) and computers (45.3%).
