According to data from the Ministry of Finance, Vietnam has increased its imports by 30 percent year-on-year in the January-April period. While February encountered a reduction of 17 percent compared to the same month the previous year, the increase in January was extremely strong and was higher month-on-month in March and April per data in table below. US and Japan continue to be Vietnam’s top two suppliers of ferrous scrap.
