Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced that it has started an antidumping duty investigation against cold rolled coil imports from China.
The investigation was launched following the complaint by domestic producers such as Phu My Flat Steel Company Limited (VNSTEEL), POSCO Vietnam Co., Ltd. and China Steel Sumikin Viet Nam Joint Stock Company.
In case of necessity, based on the preliminary investigation results, the Ministry of Industry and Trade may apply provisional anti-dumping measures to prevent dumping acts that continue to cause considerable damage to the manufacturing industry. The Ministry may also apply retroactive antidumping duty on goods subject to taxation within 90 days before the imposition of provisional antidumping duty.
The products subject to investigation currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7209.16.10, 7209.16.90, 7209.17.10, 7209.17.90, 7209.18.91, 7209.18.99, 7209.26.10, 7209.26.90, 7209.27.10, 7209.27.90, 7209.28.10, 7209.28.90, 7209.90.90, 7211.23.20, 7211.23.30, 7211.23.90, 7211.29.20, 7211.29.30, 7211.29.90 and 7225.50.90.
