Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced that it has granted exemptions for certain domestic end-users from the antidumping duty in place against color coated imports from China and South Korea. The total volume of imports that will benefit from this exemption stands at 82,000 mt.

The duty exemption request was made by domestic-based manufacturers of refrigerators and washing machines such as LG, Samsung, and Panasonic which use high-quality imports, SteelOrbis understands.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, the antidumping duty was imposed in October 2019, and the duty rates range between 2.53 percent and 34.27 percent for Chinese enterprises, while for South Korean enterprises they stand in the range of 4.71-19.25 percent.
