Valmont's galvanizing routine wows award panel

Omaha, Nebraska-based Valmont Industries, Inc. announced on Monday (May 16) that the American Galvanizing Association (AGA) had deemed Valmont's Coating Division worthy of two awards of Excellence In Hot-Dip Galvanizing. AGA's award competition is based on the use of hot-dip galvanizing in an ideal, creative, innovative, and/or monumental fashion. "Valmont Coatings is proud to receive these two awards," said Rick Cornish, Vice President and General Manager of Valmont Coatings division. "The AGA Award criteria are based on the world's most stringent standards for performance excellence. We are very pleased to be chosen by the independent panel of architects, engineers, designers and users of galvanized steel." In addition to being a provider of protective coating services, Valmont is a global leader in designing and manufacturing poles, towers and structures for lighting and traffic, wireless communication and utility markets. Valmont also produces mechanized irrigation equipment and a wide variety of tubing for commercial and industrial applications.
