France-based tube and pipe producer Vallourec will provide a 42 km (26.1 miles) of steel pipe to a Brazilian utility company, according to media reports.

Media reports said utility company Parnaíba Gás Natural will use Vallourec’s steel pipe to connect Parnaiba’s Gaviao Branco gas field to a gas treatment unit (GTU) in the city of Santo Antonio de Lopes. Both the gas field and the GTU are located within the state of Maranhao.

The tubes provided by Vallourec are manufactured according to the Brazilian gas pipelines norms, and have an outer covering for buried pipelines.
