Brazilian miner Vale announced on November 29 the resumption of operations of the Viga concentration plant of its subsidiary Ferrous Resources do Brasil within 24 hours, as a result of the regularization of documents relating to the operational permit from the municipality of Jeceaba. The resumed operations will produce approximately 330,000 mt of iron ore per month.

The company indicated that the resumption of the Viga operations does not change its iron ore and pellets sales guidance of 307-312 million mt for 2019, 83-88 million mt for the fourth quarter of this year, and 70-75 million mt for the first quarter of 2020.
