Brazilian flats steelmaker Usiminas reportedly appointed new directors for its Ipatinga and Cubatão mills, located in the cities of same name in the states of Minas Gerais and São Paulo, respectively.

A media report from Estadao said Américo Ferreira Neto will become the Ipatinga mill’s director, replacing former executive Roberto Maia. Maia will in turn take a new position at Usiminas’ headquarters in Belo Horizonte as the company’s corporate director of research, intellectual property and technology standardization.

Estadao said Heltom Muzzi will lead the Cubatao mill. Muzzi is currently a manager at Usiminas’ Ipatinga mill.

Usiminas said all directors should take their new roles effectively on May 1, 2019.
