According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tool steel totaled 11,935 mt in June 2018, down 30.1 percent from May but up 21.9 percent from June 2017 levels. By value, tool steel exports totaled $16.5 million in June, compared to $23.1 million in the previous month and $14.8 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most tool steel to Mexico in June with 11,030 mt, compared to 15,389 mt in May and 9,223 mt in June 2017. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US tool steel exports in June.
