US tin plate exports up 23.1 percent in October

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tin plate totaled 7,708 mt in October 2019, up 23.1 percent from September but down 17.6 percent from October 2018 levels. By value, tin plate exports totaled $6.0 million in October, compared to $4.7 million in the previous month and $6.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most tin plate to Mexico in October with 1,805 mt, compared to 849.3 mt in September and 1,031 mt in October 2018. Other destinations include India, with 1,764 mt; Canada, with 1,147 mt; and Pakistan, with 1,031 mt.
